Mission
We aim to promote ethnicity amongst students by organizing and conducting various events. Also celebrating the cultural diversity by nurturing the inner talent of students.
Objective
- Development and spread of language, literature and library services
- Promotion of performing art of various genre (classical / traditional / Folk/Tribal) in the field of music, dance & drama
- Promotion of visual arts (Paintings, Sculpture, Traditional and Folk Art and Crafts)
- Conservation and preservation of archival records and archaeological monuments including excavation of important historical sites
- Providing social security to the artists in various fields living in indigent conditions
Roles
1. The Cultural Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter events.
2. To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year. (Tentative dates to be included in the academic calendar of the college.)
3. The Convener of the committee shall conduct a meeting of the committee on regular intervals to discuss and allot tasks.
4. Procedure to organize cultural events:
- To prepare the Annual Budget for various cultural events.
- To obtain formal permission from the College authorities to arrangeprograms.
- To decide the date, time and agenda of the programme.
- To inform members of staff and students about the events.
- To arrange the venue and logistics
- To invite the Chief Guest and other guests of honour.
- To arrange mementos for guests and Trophies Medals and certificates forthe participants
