HTML marquee Tag Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli was established with the aim to impart quality pharmacy education and training to cater the needs of the pharmacy profession and society at large. The journey started in 2003 by introducing the first Pharmacy institute in the Kodoli under aegis of Shri Yashwant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kodoli. The institute is approved by AICTE New Delhi, PCI New Delhi, and DTE Mumbai, recognized by Government of Maharashtra & affiliated to a MSBTE, Mumbai and Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Institute is situated at the foot hills of Panhala, in the area of Kodoli, about 10 kilometres away from National Highway- 4 and 35 km away from major city, Kolhapur. The institute occupies the area of approximately 4 acres having its own 5470 sq.mts. building with excellent infrastructure which in-houses facilities such as sophisticated laboratories, resourceful library with latest books, national& international journals and well-equipped classrooms with modern teaching aid. Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy is a progressive edifying organization, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. This institute has been dedicated to decree solutions to big challenges and to prepare the student for leadership in a multifaceted world.

Gender Sensitization

About

The Gender Sensitization Cell was formed in accordance with the guidelines on sexual harassment prevention in the workplace, issued by the Honorable Supreme Court of India in 1997 and in accordance with the VISHAKHA guidelines of Supreme Court and endorsed in SAKSHAM report of the University Grants Commission.

No. 1-101/PGRC/AICTE/Regulation/2019- In exercise of the power conferred under clause (1) of Section 23 of the All India Council for Technical Education, Act, 1987 (52 of 1987), and in supersession of the All India Council for Technical Education (Establishment of Mechanism for Grievance Redressal) Regulation 2012, the All India Council for Technical Education makes the following Regulations, Approval Process Handbook 2018-19, and as per the rules and regulations addressed by the UGC for student in higher education.

Vision

To be the premier Gender Sensitization Cell in Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli for information, dissemination, and training functions that successfully influence gender and development efforts towards gender equality and the empowerment of all staff members and students. Gender sensitization may be seen as the awareness informed propensity to behave in a manner which is sensitive to gender justice and gender equality issues.

Mission

The Gender Sensitization Cell approach focuses on the socially constructed differences between men and women and the need to challenge existing Gender roles and relations.

Objective

“Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world” 

Gender equality, also known as sexual equality or equality of the sexes, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and needs equally, regardless of gender. At VPIP Gender Sensitization committee work efficiently and effectively towards balancing the parameter of equality between men and women. Information materials as in posters, handouts and eye lying pictorials are showcased in campus. Organize awareness program on various gender issues, laws, government schemes, theme-based plays, poster and collage, debate, essay competitions, annual functions on gender equality. The Committee aims tosensitize and create awareness about gender justice among the academic and non-academic community in this educational institution.
