Anti-Ragging Committee
About
As per the directions of Hon. Supreme court in SLP no-24295 of 2006 and civil appeal no-887 of 2009 and 2nd and 3rd amendments in UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions the following anti-ragging committee was constituted in Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli.
Vision
To prohibit, prevent & eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student whether by words spoken or written or by any act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher’s or any other students, or including in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any students.
Mission
Anti-Ragging Committee responsible for inculcating Culture of Ragging Free Environment in the Campus. The Anti-Ragging Squad office bearers will work under the supervision of Anti Ragging Committee and to engage in the works of checking places like Hostels, Buses, Canteens, Classrooms and other places of student congregation. Anti-Ragging Committee will be involved in designing strategies and action plan for curbing the Menace of Ragging in the college by adopting array of activities. The Committee also would conduct awareness programmes from time-to-time in the campus.
Objective
- To aware the students of dehumanizing effect of ragging inherent in its perversity.
- To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
- To promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to our notice.
- To generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed and unpunished.
Functions

- To address the students and parents by the head of the institutions on anti-ragging committee.
- To arrange to send letters to parents, guardians of the students at the end of the academic year for creation of awareness.
- To form monitoring cells (Anti-ragging squad’s faculties for surprise raids).
- To suggest measures to tighten the security.
- To arrange preventive and informative programme for Antiragging
