About
The Academic Committee serves as an integral part of the VPIP, working hand in hand with the VPIP administration to ensure the proper maintenance of academic rigor. It is responsible for encouraging an intellectually stimulating environment by supporting the VPIP office in the smooth functioning of classes, examinations, and other activities like setting up the curriculum, planning academic calendar, training, and preparedness of the batch for GDs and Interviews. Apart from the keen focus on academic success, the committee is also responsible to ensure the personal development of students and maintaining student satisfaction. Given below are events and activities the committee takes up throughout the year to stick to its motives and objectives. The Academic Committee is an integral part of the Institute. It is used to improve performance and develop beyond the curriculum contents to facilitate students.
Vision
To become a premier, recognized institute by excelling in pharmacy education for creating the dynamic, competent, valued, socially responsible and knowledgeable Professionals, who shall contribute in the nation building process and enrich their lives.
Mission
To achieve Excellency in Pharmacy pedagogy and research, through student centric quality education, state-of-art research facility and holistic growth of students, to develop skilled pharmacy professional for strengthening the healthcare of the nation.
Objective
- To oversee the academic affairs of the college and make recommendations to the Principal about academic programs and strategic priorities.
- To ensure a healthy academic atmosphere and enhance the learning experience for the students. It monitors the students’ academic experience and makes recommendations pertaining to the UG and PG to the Program Office. It constantly looks at the latest changes that are coming up in the field of management and provides recommendations to the Program Office on reflecting these changes in the curriculum to make students academically ready to meet industry demands.
Roles

Responsiblities
- Members of committee give their suggestions and directions for the smooth running of the college in academic aspect.
- Review the academic and other related activities of the college.
- Review the students and faculty developments programs.
- Visualize and formulate perspective plans for the development and growth of the college.
- Prepare and review Academic calendar and class routine for the college.
- Review and update the college prospectus
- Draft concise Leave Rule for the teaching and non- teaching staff of the college.
- Decide the introduction of students Uniform in the college.
- Promote research and extension activities in the college campus.
- Plan for sustaining the quality of education, quality improvement and accreditation of the college.
- Keep vigilance on the attendance of teachers and regularity in taking the classes.
- Review student’s attendance/ malpractices in examinations.
- Oversee the internal examinations/ evaluation/recording.
- Take disciplinary action to the students for violation and disobedience to the college rule.
