Laboratories
The institute’s laboratories are well-equipped. Experiments are created to ensure that pupils fully grasp the fundamental ideas. Students can gain an understanding of the Pharmacy’s newest research horizons by participating in sophisticated laboratory activities. Modern facilities and the newest high-tech tools are available in laboratories.
Pharmaceutics
The study of medication composition, distribution, disposal, and therapeutic response is known as pharmaceutics. The tremendous productivity and success of our professors, staff, and students at the Department of Pharmaceutics serve as a testament to our constant dedication to excellence in research, education, and service. We provide a training environment with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and technology, distinguished instructors, committed and experienced teachers, and informed staff.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Pharmaceutical chemistry is a field that combines synthetic organic chemistry, pharmacology, and a number of other biological specialisations. It is concerned with the design, chemical synthesis, and development of pharmaceutical agents or bioactive molecules for the market (drugs). The study of the interactions between medications and harmful compounds and biological systems, as well as the connection between chemical structure and dynamics and biological impact and function, fall under the broad umbrella of pharmaceutical chemistry research.
Pharmacology
The study of drug action is the focus of the biological and medical field of pharmacology. A drug is widely defined as any synthetic, natural, or endogenous (produced by the body) substance that affects a cell, tissue, organ, or organism biochemically and/or physiologically. It is the study of how interactions between a living creature and chemicals, which impact both normal and aberrant biological activity, affect those interactions.
Pharmacognosy
The study of medications made from natural sources is known as pharmacognosy. It involves both the search for new medications derived from natural sources and the research of the physical, chemical, biochemical, and biological aspects of medicines, drug substances, or prospective drugs or drug substances of natural origin.
Modern Pharmaceutical Labs and Other Facilities
Student’s lab work is what gives pharmaceutical education its passion. Because the needs of specialists in various sectors vary, laboratories used for pharmaceutical research come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The laboratories at VPIP help students connect their academic learning to real-world application. Each laboratory is equipped with top-notch chemicals, machinery, and glassware. All laboratories are built in accordance with standards.
