HTML marquee Tag Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli was established with the aim to impart quality pharmacy education and training to cater the needs of the pharmacy profession and society at large. The journey started in 2003 by introducing the first Pharmacy institute in the Kodoli under aegis of Shri Yashwant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kodoli. The institute is approved by AICTE New Delhi, PCI New Delhi, and DTE Mumbai, recognized by Government of Maharashtra & affiliated to a MSBTE, Mumbai and Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Institute is situated at the foot hills of Panhala, in the area of Kodoli, about 10 kilometres away from National Highway- 4 and 35 km away from major city, Kolhapur. The institute occupies the area of approximately 4 acres having its own 5470 sq.mts. building with excellent infrastructure which in-houses facilities such as sophisticated laboratories, resourceful library with latest books, national& international journals and well-equipped classrooms with modern teaching aid. Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy is a progressive edifying organization, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.  Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

  • Build an education leading to a Masters’ degree in Pharmaceutics with integrated professional knowledge and technical skills in the development and evaluation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms, with research competencies to work in the domain of pharmaceutical formulation or drug delivery science and technology.
  • Train the Masters’ students to gain comprehensive knowledge and skills to deliver services to the pharmaceutical organizations to design, formulate, evaluate, and manufacture suitable drug products.
  • Nurture and support an inclination for higher education and entrepreneurship.
  • Foster the best in-class experimental hands-on training in preformulation, formulation, optimization, scale up and manufacturing using frontier technologies such as nanotechnology, hot melt extrusion, computational tools, and evaluation using sophisticated instruments.
  • Empower and sensitize the Pharmaceutics professionals to serve the Pharmaceutical Industry, Academia, Society, Regulatory Bodies, and the Profession.

 Programme Outcome (PO)

  • Acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of pre formulation, different pharmaceutical dosage forms, industry management, optimization techniques, computational tools, Quality-by-Design, cGMP, IPR, pilot plant scale up, drug regulation, cosmeceuticals, advanced manufacturing processes, biopharmaceutics, and pharmacokinetics.
  • Recognize and analyze the problems related to design, development, and manufacturing of dosage forms.
  • Design and develop the appropriate dosage forms to overcome the problems of the drugs in connection with bioavailability, drug targeting, manufacturing, and stability by adapting advanced strategies.
  • Address the complex problems related to APIs, dosage forms and processes with the help of advanced tools and techniques
  • Apply appropriate and modern analytical methods, instrumentation, technologies, processes such as computational approaches, Quality-by-Design, nanotechnology, polymer sciences, hot melt extrusion, solubilization and lyophilization in the professional career.
  • Develop and facilitate multidisciplinary approach for entrepreneurship and business proposition in pharmaceutical domain.
  • Recognize the impact of the organizational or business solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and to demonstrate the acquired knowledge for the sustainable development in various pharmaceutical domains.
  • Develop a sense of fair play and sensitivity to professional ethics.
  • Cultivate the skill and confidence to perform proficiently as an individual, as one of the team members or as a leader of the team in multidisciplinary settings for effective productivity.
