VPIP Students Club
Introduction
The Student Activities Office enriches the VPIP College campus community by providing resources and services for all students who are, or want to become, involved. We are dedicated to providing a high standard of quality for student life at VPIP College by coordinating events, activities, and entertainment for the community. We believe that these opportunities help students to experience a seamless learning environment and obtain valuable lifelong skills. Any student at VPIP College may request to start a Student Club or Organization! If you are interested in starting a new Student Club or Organization, or have just taken a new leadership role with your Student Club or Organization, this resource guide will provide you with all of the information you need to know about developing and maintaining your Student Club or Organization. Through the formal recognition and registration of Student Clubs and Organizations, VPIP College encourages students to design and implement programs and events that enrich and amplify the educational mission of the College. Involvement in these types of groups reflects the interests of the students and provides them the opportunity to enhance student life at VPIP College. Student Clubs and Organizations must have a mission compatible with that of the College. All programs and events sponsored by these groups must be consistent with the policies and procedures of VPIP College. Registration of a Student Club or Organization extends to them the privilege of identification with the College and the use of institutional facilities. Responsibility for any actions which violate VPIP College’s Community Behavior Guidelines or federal, state or local laws must be assumed by the Student Organization itself.
Vision
To invigorate and position the students’ club as a facilitating institution for the pursuit of individual interests, fostering an environment that nurtures students’ inherent inventiveness and confidence.
Mission
To develop student club for well-rounded development of students by promoting their interests, creativity and ethics.
Objective
To energize and position students club as facilitating entity for pursuit of individual interests, creative work, showcasing talent, networking and teamwork opportunities, social experience; organization and management skill, exposure to professional ethics.
Outcome
- Ensures that students' and the institution's performance is continually improved in accordance with the quality policy in order to accomplish the institute's Vision and Mission.
- Energize and position the students' club as an enabling entity for the pursuit of individual interests
- Holistic student development by encouraging students' natural tendencies for creativity and ethics.
- Expose concepts and theories to a real - life setting that cannot be imitated in the classroom, culminating in competent professionals.
- Provide opportunities to acquire, understand, and refine the technical and creative skills needed in the competitive workforce in real time.
- Exposure to current technical advancements that are relevant to the training subject
- Create an environment that encourages the pursuit of knowledge and its application to future development

- Right to schedule meetings and programs in campus facilities.
- Right to disseminate information and literature on campus in approved areas.
- Right to raise funds or make other permissible solicitations on college property.
- Right to invite speakers to campus.
- Eligible to receive assistance from a faculty/staff advisor.
- Right to request calendar dates in designated college publications.
- May be granted permission to use the name of the College in connection with its approved programs and activities. No Student Club or Organization, however, shall advertise or promote its programs or activities in a manner that suggests that the function is sponsored by the College.

Guidelines
- The College has the right to regulate the time, place, and manner of all activities and to prohibit any activity that is deemed by the administration to create a clear and present danger to a person or property.
- The College has the right to restrict or limit on-campus activity of any Student Organization, Club, or individual whose purposes are directly contrary to the institution’s stated mission and purpose.
- The College has the right to restrict funding or other institutional support for particular activities that are deemed contrary to the institution’s mission.
- The College has the right to withdraw approval of the Student Club or Organization’s registration if its activities violate the mission of the College.
Responsibilities of Student Club & Organization
- Student Clubs and Organizations have the responsibility to take reasonable steps to ensure that all programs and activities sponsored by the Student Club or Organization comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, and with college policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Officers of a Student Club or Organization shall be held accountable and responsible for the programs and activities sponsored by the Student Club or Organization in the event that the Student Club or Organization and/or its members violate established college policies, procedures, rules, or regulations. 3. A Student Club or Organization shall be responsible for its members’ behavior when they are acting as members of the Student Club or Organization (with or without official approval) rather than as individual students; when an event is held (officially or unofficially) in the name of the Student Club or Organization; and when the actions or activities of individual students draw attention to the Student Club or Organization rather than to themselves as individuals.
- Student Clubs and Organizations have the responsibility to ensure that all students within the college community are able to participate in and / or benefit from all programs and activities sponsored by the Student Club or Organization.
- Student Clubs and Organizations have the responsibility to supervise their events and ensure the safe operation of their programs and activities. 6. Student Clubs and Organizations accept responsibility for any destruction of or damage to college property, equipment, or facilities and any costs related to the utilization of college property, equipment, or facilities.
- Clubs and Organizations accept responsibility for assuring that facilities are used for the purpose for which they were scheduled.
- A Student Club or Organization accepts responsibility for any of its programs and activities that interfere with the rights of any member of the college community, with another Student Club or Organization and/or its guests, or with the normal operation of the college.
- Student Clubs and Organizations must register/renew with the Student Activities Office by the end of September of each academic year in order to maintain their recognition status. Student Organizations must file the proper paperwork with the Student Activities Office.
- Student Clubs and Organizations must complete one community service project and sponsor one campus-wide event per year.
- Student Clubs and Organizations must agree that the exercise of freedom of expression will be done in a peaceful, non-violent manner with appropriate consideration of respect for differing points of view.
- Student Clubs and Organizations take responsibility for maintaining contact with their approved faculty/staff advisor and meeting their responsibilities to their faculty advisor as described in this handbook.
Responsibilities of Student Clubs or Organization’s Staff/Faculty Advisor
- Serves as the College’s representative.
- Is the primary connecting link between the College and the Student Club or Organization.
- Is knowledgeable about the purpose and program of the Student Club or Organization.
- Meets at least once a semester with the group to discuss goals, needs, and programs.
- Ensures that the members of the Student Club or Organization are informed of college policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Attends at least one meeting of the Student Club or Organization per semester.
- Attends at least one activity, program, or event sponsored by the Student Club or Organization.
- Ensures that requests for college services or appeals of administrative decisions are processed through the faculty/staff advisor.
- Helps to enrich the co-curricular experience of the members.
- Encourages and supports the group as it conducts an active and significant program, and supports the broad educational purpose of the College.
- Informs the Dean of Community immediately when the Student Club or Organization is disbanded or becomes inactive.
The Student Club or Organization’s Responsibilities to the Staff/Faculty Advisor
- Meets with the advisor on a regular basis and keeps the advisor informed of the overall program and activities of the Student Club or Organization;
- Informs the advisor, well in advance, of the schedule (date, time, and location) of all meetings, activities, programs, and events sponsored by the Student Club or Organization;
- Processes requests for college services or appeals of administrative decisions through the faculty/staff advisor;
- Gives the advisor an opportunity to express an opinion on issues that affect the welfare of the Student Club or Organization and the interest of the college.
